Set fixed amount cashback
Offer your customers a fixed cashback incentive on their purchases β simple, predictable, and effective in driving conversions and retention. Here's a full walkthrough of how this feature works in your app and how you can use it.
What is Fixed Amount Cashback?
Fixed amount cashback means your customers receive a flat cashback value for each eligible product or line item in their order.
For example:
If you offer $10 cashback, and the customer buys 3 eligible items, they get $30 total cashback β regardless of the product price.
Setting It Up
You can configure this in your app by heading to Cashback Settings. Hereβs what youβll do:
Step-by-Step:
Go to "Configure Cashback Settings"
Under Config #, select:
Cashback Type:
Fixed Amount
Cashback Amount: e.g.,
$10
Choose who gets the cashback using:
Customer Tags (optional)
Under Applies To, choose:
All Products
Specific Collections
Specific Products
You can create multiple configurations to target different sets of products or customer segments.
π§ How Does It Work?
Fixed Cashback on All Products
Every item in the cart gets the fixed cashback.
Global settings are used (like shipping inclusion/exclusion, base on order total / subtotal etc.)
Example:
Customer buys 3 items β $10 cashback per item β Total: $30 cashback
Fixed Cashback on Specific Collections / Products
Cashback only applies to the items from the selected collection(s) or product(s).
Global settings are ignored for these configs.
Other items in the cart donβt receive cashback.
Example:
$10 cashback only for Collection A
Customer buys 2 items from Collection A β Total: $20 cashback
What If There Are Multiple Cashback Rules?
If multiple cashback configurations apply (e.g., one for "All Products" and another for a specific collection), the system will apply the best matching config per line item.
The best applicable cashback is calculated and applied per item in the userβs cart.
This ensures the customer always gets the correct reward without stacking or duplicating benefits.
Global Settings (For βAll Productsβ configs onlyβ οΈ)
You can also fine-tune how cashback is calculated using the global cashback settings (not used in product-specific configs). Options include:
Include Shipping in cashback calculations
Calculate from order total or subtotal (before taxes/shipping)
